Capturing Online process during lockdown
The ‘Online’ learning, in the recent past was either not known to many or even if someone knew, it wasn’t considered important as a point of discussion at least in the context of learning for school children. One reason is that rural population still has limited access to this kind of development including many teachers if not all. Secondly, learning has, so far, been seen in association with the syllabus, contents, examination, grade, marks. There, obvious question on online learning were –
- How to conduct examination?
- How to cover the syllabus?
- How to ensure attendance? etc.......
While, it is obvious that our team, the way we have undergone educational experiences in our own time, also tends to think learning within the limit of textbooks, examination, attendance, grading, marks. But gradually, we are able to come out of this boundary that confines learning. We are exploring about the joy of learning and trying to instill joy of learning in the children at the same time we are learning in the process.
Began with collecting data of children with smart phone, converge some children who has no smart phone with those having smart phone. Communicated with parents, teachers to inform as well as to take support in this endeavor. Developed schedule to share different learning activities with children. Lest the children without smart phone are deprived of minimum support, attempts are made to reached out to them through telephonic conversation.
Up till know, some of the attempts made by our team to instill the joy of learning among children are illustrated through some picture shots below.
Reaching out to children through some task.
